Non-discrimination policy

Adopted by the Board of Directors of the We Defy Foundation on 12/28/2019

The We Defy Foundation does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), sex, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, or sexual orientation, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. It is also Foundation policy to comply with all applicable national, state, and local laws pertaining to nondiscrimination and equal opportunity. The only thing we require for employment, compensation, advancement, and benefits is excellence. It is the policy of the We Defy Foundation to recruit, employ, promote, and take other personnel actions with respect to all employees and job classifications without regard to age, sex, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, sexual orientation, or political belief and to take affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunities for handicapped workers as well as for disabled persons and all veterans. Further, no one will be denied opportunities or benefits because of the existence of a physical or mental impairment or disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, so long as, with the provision of reasonable accommodations, such impairment or disability does not substantially limit such person's performance of one or more essential job functions.
